Dead by Daylight roguelite gets a surprise release, and 2 million copies are free

  • Titled What the Fog, the game was revealed on Tuesday during a Dead by Daylight eighth anniversary broadcast
  • Two million copies of What the Fog are being given away for free to players who sign in to or create a Behaviour account
  • The game is also available on Steam for $4.99 / £4.29
  • Dead by Daylight’s anniversary broadcast was also used to announce Dungeons & Dragons and Castlevania chapters for the multiplayer action horror game, plus a 2V8 game mode that pits two killers against eight survivors on a much larger map
  • The Dungeons & Dragons chapter launches on June 3, while more info on the Castlevania chapter will be revealed on August 6

Xbox's "Transparency Report" H2

  • From the six months that ended December 31, 2023, Xbox users issued 27.44 million reports (Up from 10.31 million in H2 2023)
  • 12.74 million (47%) user reports regarding communication with others
  • 11.34 million (41%) reports involving unsportsmanlike conduct (cheating)
  • 3.36 million (12%) reports related to user-generated content
  • 7.32 million proactive enforcements for cheating and inauthentic accounts
  • 138,000 recordings captured by the Xbox voice reporting feature
  • 98% of users showed better behavior after receiving a strike
  • 674 reports to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
  • 2,076 referrals to Crisis Text Line
  • 179,000 players appealed against suspensions
