Helldivers 2 and Dead Island 2 support studio Toadman Interactive confirms layoffs

  • Toadman is owned by Enad Global 7 (EG7) and has worked on notable releases like Helldivers 2, Dead Island 2, Killing Floor Calamity, and Warhammer: End times–Vermintide.
  • "The annual cost savings for Toadman is approximately SEK 63 million ($6.1 million) and will affect approximately 100 full-time and contract resources [headcount] previously engaged with Toadman," reads the report.
  • Some positions at the Immortal Unchained developer's Berlin office are also at risk.

Thomas Koegler appointed CEO of Asmodee

  • Former deputy COO will also join Embracer's executive management team
  • Kogler joined the French board game publisher in 2015 where he held various roles, most recently as the company's deputy COO. He will also replace Stéphane Carville on Embracer's executive management team.

Rocksteady hit by layoffs after Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League underperforms

  • One staff member made redundant while on paternity leave
  • There has also been an acknowledgement by Rocksteady's senior management that product quality will now suffer as a result, staff say.
  • Staff members affected by the job cuts include numerous junior staff, but also several team members employed at Rocksteady for more than five years.
