PlayStation’s 30th anniversary celebrations include Spotify soundtracks and a board game

  • Starting in October and running until January, the company plans to release digital soundtracks on Spotify for the first time.
  • The soundtracks for God of War, God of War II, God of War: Ghost of Sparta, Twisted Metal, Starhawk and Unit 13 will be made available on the streaming service, and can be bought on numerous digital music storefronts.
  • Sony will also launch a new series of physical products called Shapes of Play, which it says has been “crafted by the team behind the design of PlayStation consoles, giving you opportunities to create fun moments with our iconic shapes”.
  • These include Shapes of Play: Battle, a board game “where you can challenge a friend to line up four different shapes of the same color on the board to win”.
  • This will be joined by Shapes of Play: Create (a set of magnetic blocks which can be built into various shapes) and Shapes of Play: Recharge (which appear to be stress balls of some kind).

Balatro out on mobile later this month

  • The game will be available on both the iOS App store and the Google Play store from 26th September.
  • Balatro+ also coming to Apple Arcade (+ games on Apple Arcade have no ads or microtransactions)
