COO says layoffs come "in light of the challenges facing our industry"
In November last year, Wayfinder publisher Digital Extremes announced it was dropping the title amid layoffs. As a result, Airship Syndicate gained full control over the title's publishing.
Airship Syndicate is based in Austin, Texas, and was founded in 2014.
That brings the total project order to around $19.5m
According to PocketGamer, "the extended partnership and additional funding will lead to ongoing content updates, performance improvements, and optimisations to ensure the game continues to run smoothly on mobile devices."
Sony, Shift Up, and and Sony's unnamed liability insurance company have been targeted amid claims Stellarblade's business (that's the film company) is being damaged by Stellar Blade (the game's) use of the name.
