NetEase subsidiary Skybox Labs lays off 25 people
- Studio said that "despite best efforts, we are not immune to the challenges that have impacted the industry"
- Founded in 2011, the studio has co-developed titles such as Halo Infinite, Minecraft, and Fallout 76.
Airship Syndicate cuts another 16 jobs
- COO says layoffs come "in light of the challenges facing our industry"
- In November last year, Wayfinder publisher Digital Extremes announced it was dropping the title amid layoffs. As a result, Airship Syndicate gained full control over the title's publishing.
- Airship Syndicate is based in Austin, Texas, and was founded in 2014.
Nitro Games extends Warframe developer Digital Extremes partnership with new $5.5m deal
- That brings the total project order to around $19.5m
- According to PocketGamer, "the extended partnership and additional funding will lead to ongoing content updates, performance improvements, and optimisations to ensure the game continues to run smoothly on mobile devices."
Two games addiction lawsuits dismissed
- The cases, which were against firms including Activision Blizzard, Epic Games, and Roblox, were voluntarily dismissed
- The cases were filed in Arkansas and Ohio on behalf of minors
Stellarblade the film company is suing Sony over Stellar Blade the game
- Sony, Shift Up, and and Sony's unnamed liability insurance company have been targeted amid claims Stellarblade's business (that's the film company) is being damaged by Stellar Blade (the game's) use of the name.
PlatinumGames has acquired The Wonderful 101 trademark from Nintendo
- A legal document reveals the transfer was agreed last month

- Operational Revenue: €14.6 million for the first half of 2024-2025, down 11% from €16.5 million in 2023.
- Development Revenues: Decreased to €2.0 million.
- Capitalized Productions: Decreased to €1.1 million.
- Write Downs: €24 million partial write down for Banishers and Jusant, and €7.6 million write down for paused projects P12 and P13.
