Project Party developer Lilith Games lays off 40 (out of 100) employees

  • AFK Arena studio almost halves headcount following lukewarm beta test of life sim Project Party
  • Lilith Games was founded in 2013 in Shanghai, China. Its first game, Soul Hunters, was released in 2014, and it expanded into publishing and game development in 2016. Lilith Games launched its own publishing brand, Farlight Games, back in 2022.

Vision of Mana director quits NetEase to join Square Enix

  • In a statement on X/Twitter, Yoshida thanked NetEase and his development team for their support, but confirmed he quit the Chinese megacorp at the end of October and will join Square Enix in December.
  • Whilst Yoshida had been employed at NetEase subsidiary Ouka Studios, Visions of Mana was published by Square Enix - the company he has now joined.
