Nintendo delays public release of Nintendo Alarmo

  • In a post on social media, Nintendo revealed Alarmo will remain a timed exclusive for those Nintendo Switch Online members until "early" March. "After that, it will be available to buy from selected retailers in certain countries"

Powerwash Simulator abandons VR Version to support "Job Security"

  • Team working on VR version have been moved to other areas of the business instead of making layoffs.
  • The game will remain available on VR storefronts, though it will no longer receive any further updates, support or DLC.
  • Non VR versions of Powerwash Simulator are uneffected.

Nintendo Switch 2 revealed planned for January 16

  • Another Switch 2 rumour, so please take with a grain of salt.
  • The current rumour states: Reveal of event Jan 15th, reveal (hardware only) Jan 16th, planned release May / June.
  • Unlike many, many other rumours about Switch 2, this one has significant backing from many people from across the game news sphere. Still a rumour until confirmed otherwise though.
  • Many announcements for other things, such as the Nine Inch Nails world tour have been pushed back due to the fires in LA. Unclear at this time if the same will happen here (or if they'll be used as an excuse if the rumoured dates pass with no announcements)

Godfall dev Counterplay Games has quietly closed down

  • Counterplay was reportedly co-developing an unannounced project with Jackalyptic Games it was 'disbanded' sometime last year. Anonymous employee at Jackalytpic claimed via LinkedIn that the partnership ended as Counterplay closed its doors.
